Located at the east part of south area of Yanqing Competition Zone’s core region, the Winter Olympic Village consists of a living area, an international area and an operation area, and the village will be transformed into a ski resort with public snow tracks and supporting facilities. With a decentralized and semi-open courtyards layout resembling that of mountainous villages, the village goes with the mountains’ contour to blur the height difference and strictly restricts the height of buildings for better preservation of existing trees. Ruins of a village have been also preserved and become a core public spot together with landscape waters.
