The arts center is composed of a 1200-seat middlesized theater, a 800-seat concert hall and other relative facilities. On a massive podium, two ellispe volumes anchor the complex at north and south end and provide an entrance enclosed by cable-supported glass walls between them. Bending inward, the sweeping curtain wall invites citizens to the concourse and keeps the views to the urban landscape belt from any interruptions. The catering and service facilities in the concourse make itself an open space for comminication and rest. A lots of artistic activities are also occured here frequently. The spirals of the massive walls, which wrap the ellipse volumes and the podium, indicate the soaring snow mountains of Qinghai.
